Dulcie Brenda Neeley
Age 89, of Foster Village, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Plaza at Moanalua Assisted Living facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. Born February 2, 1930 in Newport, South Wales in the United Kingdom to Walter and Elsie (Potter) Bartlett, she lived a very long, happy, and fulfilled life. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunty, and friend. Despite growing up far from Hawaii, she embraced island life, and spent many happy years living in central Oahu. Brenda was a gentle soul, always greeting those around her with a warm smile and friendly conversation. Those who knew Brenda will remember her charming English accent, which she never lost, even after living in the United States for many years. She had a friendly demeanor and was always happy to share a laugh with family, friends, neighbors, or a new acquaintance. Her favorite activities were spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids. She also loved University of Hawaii sports, particularly women's volleyball, almost never missing a match. She will be missed by all who have been touched by her love, compassion, generosity, and friendship. She is survived by her sons John (Joel) and Joel (Tara Andres); grandchildren Christopher (Anne), Jenna (Ramil), Mary Alex (Ryan Hunt), Nikki Lawson (Chris) and Dylan Dixon (Mercy); great grandchildren Aily, Aiden, Aaron, Aster, Averi, Lailah, Kash, Raul, Aaliyah, Alexandria, Allyson and Andres; brothers Tony, Haydn, and sister Barbara.
