89 years old, widow of Harry Kahuanui Jr., passed away peacefully on July 27, 2019. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired teacher for Kahuku School and Maunawili Elementary School. Lily was a graduate of Saint Andrews Priory and UH-Manoa. She was a gentle and loving woman and shared much of herself with family and friends. Lily was a devoted wife and supported her late husband Harry's coaching career which carried over with her children and grandchildren. She took pride in watching her grandchildren compete in various sporting events and was a well-known fixture in the stands. Lily was an active member of the Delta Kapa Gama, Beta Chapter and brought joy volunteering her time singing and playing the ukulele. In addition, she enjoyed going to Las Vegas with her sisters and spending time with friends. She is survived by son, Lance; daughters, Shelley Kahuanui (Kyle) Fey and Charlene Kahuanui (Bob) Christenson; sisters, Ruby Kam, Annie Wung and Helen Luke; grandchildren, Fatu Kahuanui, Micah and Joanna Christenson, and Kupono and Keaupono Fey; and five great-grandchildren. Celebration of life will be on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation at 3:00 p.m. and service at 4:00 p.m. Casual attire. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
