She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Schmidtke, Daughter, Valerie Moriwaki, Granddaughter's, Sydney Kashiwagi, Zoe, and Camren Moriwaki, and her siblings: Albert Akana (Evelyn), Mildred Kalani Meyer (Donald), James Akana, Brenda Kealoha, and David Akana (Hilda).
