Robert C. Causton, known to friends as "Buckhorn Bob," passed away on 15 July 2019 at the age of 96 years young. A native of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Bob joined the Navy in December 1942. After Naval training and 9 months of Electronics Technician School, Bob went aboard a new submarine repair ship. There he traveled to many ports to service the communications equipment for submarines coming off patrol. Bob was discharged from the Navy in March 1946, and enrolled in Idaho State University to further his study in electronics. Bob went on to work for Philco Corp, and the Air Force as an electronic engineer, retiring in 1994. Bob is survived by his nephew, Ray Causton and his wife, Kathy; niece, Marcia Becker and her husband, Richard; Great-nieces: Marcella Causton Harville, Meredith Causton, Karyn Causton; Great-great-nephews: Tobias and Dovovan; Great-great-niece Keegan; Cousin Denice Hogan, and her husband, Kevin, and daughter, Madison; also survived by extended family and many, many friends, all who will miss Bob very much. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa and George; brothers Ivan, and Clifford. Funeral service and interment to be held in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on 7 September 2019.
