Steven Fuller, or as he dubbed himself "The Bali Wine Guy," was originally from Fresno, California, but fell in love with Hawaii and made Honolulu his home since 1970. Steve graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor's Degree, and then from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Master's Degree. After college, Steven took a year to travel the world, visiting five continents; he was also a "Blue Water Sailor" and crewed a yacht to French Polynesia one of his favorite journeys. Steven's ultimate passion for wine led him to the Cannon Club at Fort Ruger, where he began his 45 year career as a wine steward. He then worked at the ultimate fine-dining restaurant in Waikiki, Bagwell's 2424 at the Hyatt, and was later hired by the Hilton Hawaiian Village which he would make his home for 33 years to create the wine program for Bali by the Sea's grand opening in the Rainbow Tower. Known for his extensive wine knowledge, but more so for his spirit of Aloha, Steven touched the lives of friends, co-workers, and visitors alike. "Cheers to Steven." A Celebration of his Life will be held August 25th at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Rainbow Suites. Reception: 4:00 p.m.; Memorial Service: 5:00 p.m., followed by an off-site gathering of his friends all are invited.
