Age 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home in Kalihi on July 27, 2019. He was born on July 17, 1925 in Payas, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Known as "Lino" by family and friends, he is survived by his wife Apolonia Sacoco, children Carolina Domingo, Delia Sacoco, Florentina Tabion, Noe Sacoco, Nenita Sacoco, and Christina Yabes; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. He worked as a machine operator at Dole Packaged Foods Company and retired on January 1, 1989 after 21 years of service. Lino was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a great man of character -- strong work ethic, discipline, upholding of values, and a profound appreciation for the simplicities in life. The viewing will be held at the Valley of the Temples Makai Chapel on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:30 pm - 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, with the public viewing taking place at 10:30am, Mass at 11am, and burial to follow at Valley of the Temples at 2pm.
