March 23, 1930 - June 9, 2019 Yoshio Kaminaka of Honolulu, Hawaii, was born on March 23, 1930 to Nobuichi and Haruyo Kaminaka. He passed away on June 9, 2019 at 89. Yoshio was a graduate of Farrington High School and the University of Hawaii where he earned a degree in business administration. He supported the Honolulu restaurant community through his career in restaurant supply sales. He enjoyed spear fishing, leisure days with his sons, bowling, traveling to Las Vegas, listening to jazz music and an occasional chess match with worthy opponents. Although he picked up the game of golf later in life, he loved the game and played courses from Hawaii to Maryland. Most of all, he loved time with his family. Yoshio is survived by wife, Muriel; sons Edwin and Wayne (Laurie-Ann); daughter Shari (Dr. Geoffrey Ling); 3 grand- children (Kurt [Misato], Alissa and Stephen); 2 great-grand- children (Landon and Nyla); 2 faithful canine companions, Hoku and Musubi; brother Hideo Kaminaka and sister Akiko (Edmund) Tajima.
