Passed away on August 30th, 2019, he was 62. It's impossible to find words that capture the true depth of Wendell's warmth, generosity, adventurous spirit and the fearless love that he radiated. His big bright smile and deep melodic laugh filled every room and somehow made each one of us feel like the most precious beings in his presence. To say that he will be missed is a vast understatement. Those who had the gift of knowing and loving him can feel the painful emptiness and quiet without him. Wendell was gentle and soulful. His family and loved ones meant the world to him. He was a loyal friend, a wonderful storyteller and a true champion for Hawaiian Sovereignty.
