He was employed by City and County of Honolulu for over 40 years, and a retired veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He is survived by his children, Natalie Hale (William), Nathan Hale, Jr. (Carlene), Naida Iaea (John), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 2 great- great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation: 9:30a.m.; Services: 10:30a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Private burial at Liliokalani Church on Friday, September 20, 2019.
