James Bruce Atkinson (Bruce), born in San Francisco October 15, 1932, died of pnemonia on August 20, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Fay Ito Atkinson and his son James "Jimmy" Atkinson. After earning a PhD from Stanford, Bruce was recruited by Rev. D. Coon to teach at Iolani School. He taught there from 1974-1977. Following Iolani, Bruce became a realtor, first at Mike McCormick Realty and then at Stark Realty. After the birth of his son in 1981, Bruce became a Financial Advisor at Bache Securities, now known as Wells Fargo Securities. After 27 years of service, Bruce retired on March 31, 2009.
