Nicholas Albert Carter
Nicholas Albert CarterNicholas Albert Carter of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed peacefully from this life on June 30, 2019. Nick helped begin Educational Television Hawai'i, the forerunner to PBS Hawai'i, and retired in 2008 after a 35-year career with KGMB - TV. He was one of the founders of the Hawaiian Railway Society, which was instrumental in restoring some of the first trains on Oahu. Nick is survived by his loving wife, Julia Smith Carter, son Eric, daughter Kathleen Carter Singleton, son-in-law James, and two granddaughters, Olive and Esther. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 45-550 Kionaole Road, Kaneohe, on Saturday, September 28th. Receiving of friends: 8:30 a.m.; Celebration of Life: 9:30 a.m. followed by a coffee hour. Aloha attire.
