Aiko Matsuda Glennon
Aiko Matsuda Glennon AIKO MATSUDA GLENNON 88, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 surrounded by her family and close friends. She was born in Amami Oshima, Japan on May 4, 1931. Brave and adventuresome, she married Thomas Glennon in Japan, raised a family, owned a sewing business and then spent many enjoyable years as a Japanese tour guide in Honolulu. She was an avid golfer, excellent cook and hostess, multi-talented craftsperson, and adventurer who loved world travel. She enjoyed many trips with her husband and their friends. Aiko was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Glennon and Frances (Ivan) Lui-Kwan; grandson Eddie Puulei; great grandchildren: Blaze and Moana Puulei; and sister Tsuyae Hamada. Her children, grandchild and great grandchildren gave her great joy. Private services were held. She will be inurned at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl with her husband. Aiko's family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at Nagomi Foster Home and Sakura House for their loving and compassionate care.
