DONALD A. THOMAS UNCLE TOMMY 93, of Waipahu, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Hale Pulama Mau. Donald was born on March 17, 1926 in Madison Township, Buchanan County, Iowa. He retired from the Navy Fire Dept. as a Captain with 34 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Marcella (Michael) Young, daughter-in-law Janice (Samuel "Kuni") Kapahua; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; his brother Dearl Thomas of Iowa, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Celebration of Life to be held on Sunday, September 29th at Borthwick's Maunakea Chapel. Visitation: 10:30 a.m.; Services: 11:30 a.m. Burial on Monday, Sept. 30th at 1:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire and flowers welcome.
