JUNE 25, 1948 SEPTEMBER 5, 2019 Age 71, died peacefully on September 5, 2019 in Austin, Texas. The son of Bill and Valaree Guy, he was born 6 weeks premature on June 25, 1948 at the old St. David's Hospital in Austin, Texas. It was a hard beginning, as the doctors said they'd never seen a baby struggle so much to live. But live he did. He was left handed, and very left handed indeed. He often joked, "I'm in my right mind." Gary was an Electrical Engineer & P.E. for Dallas Power & Light for over 29 years. He spent the last 10 years taking care of his Mom & Dad, and later 60 - 80 little old ladies at the Conservatory Independent Living Facility in Austin. He became their "go to guy" and he repeatedly "fixed" their Cell Phones, Computers, T.V. remotes and anything and everything technical. He will be missed daily. Gary Guy was the most caring, hardworking, self sacrificing, giving, loving and sweetest man anyone could ever know. And everyone says so. He is survived by the 2 Guy boys, Paul and his wife Heidi of Chico, California, Greg & his wife Cyndi Branco Halemano of Aiea, and 7 nieces and nephews, 16 grand-nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life was held in Austin, Texas on Sunday, September 8th and followed by the funeral and interment on Monday then 9th. He is already missed.
