Preceded in death by wife, Youk Tchong (Doris) Ching and daughter, Leslie, he is survived by his daughter, Leila (Mitchel) Kagawa; grandchildren, Jordan and Trevor; brothers, Elliott and Wilson (Betty) Ching; sisters, Joycelin Chong, Irene Chung and Gertrude Ceballos. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service at 10:00 a.m. Committal service and burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
