1928 ~ 2019 Abbie Leialoha Kuroda Chong died peacefully in her sleep on July 30, 2019, at home in Maunawili. She will be truly missed by everyone that knew her. Abbie is survived by her husband, Malcolm Chong and Children: Abbie Beamer, Vernette Olivera, Vernon Funn, Jr., and Anthony Funn. Abbie is also survived by her brother, Homer Kuroda, Sam Alama Kuroda and sisters, Frances Pang and Anna Young, many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Born in Honolulu, Abbie enjoyed a career as an airline attendant with Hawaiian Airlines. She was the co-founder for Koa'e Kea; a Hawaiian Airlines Stewardess of DC3's club. A member of 'Ahahui Ka'ahumanu for twenty-nine years and a member of Daughters of Hawaii. Abbie was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Private Services were held on September 3, 2019.
