DAVID RAY MONCRIEF David Ray Moncrief passed away on July 22nd, 2019 in Palo Alto, California at the age of 81. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 28, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents David Melville Moncrief and Willa Gertrude Ray Moncrief; brothers: Bruce, Robert and Guy Moncrief and his first love Anne Hyde Rice Moncrief. He is survived by his daughters: Emmy (Michael) Copriviza, California, Juliet (Kuma) Moncrief, Colorado, Heather (Richard) Waters, Virginia; brother Kimo (Cherie) Moncrief, Lanikai; 4 Grandchildren: Anthony & Courtney Copriviza, Lauren & Katie Waters; nephews: Scott and Robb Moncrief. David attended Punahou School (Class of '55) and then got his EE from Stanford Class of "59. He then went to work at Hawaiian Electric for his entire working career. In retirement David was very active in the Salvation Army of Honolulu and Rotary International Diamond Head Club and was President of both organizations giving much of his time and resources to others. His legacy lives on in his children and grandchildren who are already missing his bright smile and contagious laughter. A private service will be held on Oahu.
