FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Ronald Wah Kun Chang
81, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, Texas. He was born April 24, 1937, in Hilo, Hawaii. He was a 1955 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in Hilo and a graduate of San Jose State College in San Jose, California. He served as a U.S. Army paymaster from 1961-1963 at Camp Severely in Italy, completing his military service in the Hawaii Army Reserves. His accounting career began in the office of Kaiser Cement manufacturing plant in Waianae, Oahu and eventually to other Kaiser locations at Long Beach, CA., San Antonio, TX. and Oakland, CA. After 30 years, he and his wife Linda retired to the "Texas Hill Country," creating a large native plant garden. He loved the reunions of the Grace Family, Longhorn co-workers and the Vicenza Gang of military buddies. Ron is survived by his wife of 54 yrs, Linda; daughters, Malia Chang, Catherine Chang; son-in-law James Kaiser; his brothers: Robert, Wilfred, Richard, Rodney and sister Rae Mei Ling Isaacs and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Grace Chang and Raymond M.Y. Chang.
