FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Elisha Yukiko “Yuki” Firestone
Elisha Yukiko Yuki began her journey into eternal life on September 28, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Japan in 1950 to Tetsuo and Sakae Kubota and at age 8, moved with her family to Hawaii where they lived in Kaimuki. A graduate of McKinley High School, Yuki attended college in San Francisco, a city that always held a special place in her heart. After she moved back to Hawaii, she met Robert "Bob" Firestone; they were married for 41 years and raised 3 daughters, Tiffany, Tasha, and Tarynn, in Aiea. She is remembered as a loving wife, a devoted mom, and a doting bachan to her 2 granddaughters. Yuki was a florist and an artist. After retirement in 2006, Yuki and Bob moved to Washington State where she cultivated an oasis with her gardens and murals. She had an eye for repurposing vintage finds into art and always had a project underway. Her family loved visiting their home away from home. Above all, Yuki cherished her family. Earlier this year she returned home to Aiea to be with them. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, October 17 at Diamond Head Mortuary. Visitation: 6:00 pm; Service: 6:30 pm.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
