Franklin Yoshinobu Nakano
Affectionately known as "Onchi" and "Dee," Franklin passed away peacefully in Honolulu on September 22, 2019 at the age of 86. A carpenter and master craftsman, a musician, a Renaissance man, but most of all, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Although diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer 14 years ago, it could not stop him from living a full, remarkable life (thank you, Dr. Kenneth Sumida), and it never stopped him from delivering his perfectly timed one-liners. He is survived by wife Nancy, daughter Sandy Ajimura, grandchildren Ariel and Michael Ajimura, siblings Alice (Emil) Bruner, and Stanley. Visitation: 5:00PM; Service: 6:00PM Monday, October 21 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
