93, a U.S. Army WWII veteran, passed away in Honolulu on September 23, 2019. He retired from Tiffany Restaurant at the Hawaiian Regent Hotel and owned several businesses, including Kaimuki Steak House and co-owned Gum's Coffee House. Phillip is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Jeanne, sons Scott and Steven (Su-Lyn), daughters D'Ann Akaka, D'Anna (Steve) Peters, Caryn, Loryn and Sharyn (Chad) Araki, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Memorial services Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Calvary Church of the Pacific, 99-400 Aiea Heights Drive. Visitation at 10:00 am and services at 11:00 am.
