82, passed away on September 13, 2019. He was born in Honolulu, HI on December 17, 1936 to Vincent and Isabella Souki and was the youngest of seven children. He was a 1956 graduate of Kaimuki High School and a Marine Corps Veteran. Vernon worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company and the Hawaii State House of Representatives. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene (Soares) Souki, two sons Martin (Dana) Souki and Vernon (Barbara) Souki Jr., daughter Monica (Troy) Montayre, seven grandchildren and sister Patricia Lasiter. Services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at St. Philomena Church in Salt Lake, HI. Visitation 8:30 a.m., services 9:30 a.m., lunch 11:00 a.m., burial 1:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetary in Kaneohe.
