Aged 71, passed on 9/15/2019. Raised in Palolo, Yvonne became the youngest singer with the Royal Hawaiian Band, retiring after 28 years. An operatic soprano, Yvonne was a featured vocalist of the Danny Kaleikini Show and performed at numerous charities, state and military events. In 1985, Yvonne was nominated for Na Hoku Hanohano's Best Female Vocalist award. Upon her retirement, Honolulu Mayor Fasi proclaimed May 29, 1994 as Yvonne Perry Day. Her available recordings include the Hawaiian Wedding Song with Gary Aiko. She's buried alongside her son, Sean Pieper and survived by her granddaughter, Seanna and companion, George.
