PATRICIA MICHIKO ISOBE 81 of Waipahu, passed away on September 6, 2019. She was born on May 19, 1938 to Shigeo and Umeno Ishibashi in Kahului Maui. She is survived by her husband Michael, sons Greg (Diane), and Steven (Barbara), daughter Cheryl (Gavin) Takushi, brother Gordon (Sue) Ishibashi and six grandchildren, Tiffany, Tammy, Kasey, Evan, Mitchell and Travis. Sister Alice (Wyman) Tong preceded her in death. A retired school teacher for 25+ years in California and Hawaii, she enjoyed going for walks, frequent trips to Japan with her husband, spending time with family, playing ukulele and singing with her senior group, and passing on her passion for reading to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed meeting regularly with her fellow retirees for lunch and talk story. She was a cancer survivor and fought valiantly against it. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, penchant for peacemaking, and for always thinking of others before herself. Visitation will be 5:00 pm Friday November 1, 2019 at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary's Mauka Chapel. Celebration of Life at 6:00 pm. No flowers.
