SSG RAY ALOANG BAUTISTASeptember 12, 1990 ~ August 19, 2019 Staff Sergeant Ray A. Bautista passed away in Columbus, Georgia on August 19, 2019. He was born on September 12, 1990, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was raised in Kapolei. He is survived by his wife, Carolann; children: Nevaeh (11), Rayden (7), and Ramsey (5); his parents Marilou (William) Agnir and Reynaldo (Mel) Bautista; siblings: William (Isabel) Agnir, Jr., Michael Agnir, Kevin Agnir, Marc William Agnir, Katrina Agnir, Karen (Benjamin) Yeung, RayAnn (Epifanio) Echavez, SherryLynn (Lance) Bautista, and Haren (Kellen) Blackshear. Staff Sergeant Bautista's ten (10) years of honorable service began on January 13th, 2009, as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. After completion of basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in July of 2009, his military career began at Fort Riley, Kansas. Subsequently, his stations of operations were Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Carson, Colorado, and Fort Benning, Georgia. He completed two combat tours in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, defending his nation in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The last duty station of Staff Sergeant Bautista was at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he was a Drill Sergeant in Echo Company, 1st Battalion, 81st Armor Regiment, 194th Armored Brigade. Staff Sergeant Bautista's awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (3 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, NATO Medal, Air Assault Badge, Driver Mechanic Badge, and Driver Wheeled Badge. ~ Private Services have been held ~
