Dorothy Ako, 99, of Honolulu, passed peacefully on October 17, 2019. Born on October 25, 1919, Dorothy graduated from McKinley High School, worked as a stenographer, and spent her final years enjoying time with family, playing games including mahjong and bridge, and attending church at Calvary by the Sea in Aina Haina. Preceded in death by her husband, Francis Ako, she is survived by children Sandra Eagle, Nona Andrews, Curtiss Ako, and Michael Ako, as well as seven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
