Kazue Nakano Lapilio
Kazue Nakano Lapilio, 91, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2019. She was born and raised in Chiba-ken, Japan. Kazue met her husband, Douglas Lapilio, in Tokyo, where he was stationed in the U.S. army; they were married for 65 years. She owned and operated K. Nakano's Barbershop in Kane'ohe for many years. She was an accomplished artist who painted beautiful scenic landscapes. Kazue is survived by her children: Amy Oakes; Jan Smith; Michael Lapilio; and Craig Lapilio. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Kazue was predeceased by her loving husband in 2017. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary
