EUGENIA MALANOG OMPAD Age 96 of Makaha, Hawaii passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2019. She was born on May 14, 1923 in the Pahoa-Puna area of the Big Island of Hawaii. She proudly retired from federal civil service as a commissary cashier. She loved crocheting and completed many beautiful bedspreads, doilies, and other creations over the years, which her family will cherish. She enjoyed many gambling jaunts to Las Vegas gleefully winning on Keno and slot plays. She also loved traveling the US mainland and Europe, living in France with her family while married to her military husband, Delfin (deceased). She is survived by her brother, Joseph (Estrella) Cabansag; her son, Patrick (Christine) Ompad; daughters: Yolanda (Richert) Salondaka, Arleen (Proceso, deceased) Balecha, Patricia (Samuel) Paugh, Rochelle (Wayne) Paakaula; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Her family will miss her dearly. Catholic Services to be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 Mililani Memorial Park, Makai Chapel. Visitation: 9:00 a.m.; Services: 11:00 a.m. Casual attire.
