70, of Ewa Beach, passed away October 19, 2019. Born at Tripler Hospital, Mel graduated from UH and then served in the Marines. He worked as a systems analyst at HMSA for 38 years. In retirement, he dabbled in Tai Chi and exercise classes before becoming an avid and expert Pokemon Go player raiding with the Ewa Raiders. He is survived by wife Teresa, daughter Grace, and sister Judy (Akio) Nakashio. Visitation from 5pm, Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services at 6pm. Aloha attire.
