88, of Honolulu, died on Oct. 3, 2019. He was born in Ke'ei-Kona, Hawai'i. A hard-working husband, father, and a community sports coach. He was an Army Veteran, retired from Hawaiian Telephone and the Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, their children: JoAnn (Ross) Kawamoto, Eric (Kim), Casey, and Lisa; grandchildren: Kali'i, Jesse, Kililani, Alexus, and Ka'i; and siblings: Richard (Jane) and Elaine (Robert) Chapman. He is predeceased by his brother, Stanley (Gladys). Service will be held at 11am on Sunday, December 15th at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Please no flowers. Visitation starts 10am. Reception to follow.
