Magdalena Hirashima passed away on October 30th, 2019, she was 92 years old. She was born on May 2, 1927, in Rosenheim, Germany. Magdalena, a member of "The Greatest Generation" met her future husband Raymond Hirashima in Munich, Germany, while he served in the 442nd Army Battalion during World War II. She readily explored and traversed a new world away from her former home of Germany as an Army wife. Her husband was based in Schofield, HI and Yokohama, Japan before he retired in Alameda, CA. They ultimately settled in Hawaii where Raymond was born and raised, he passed on April 13, 1996. She had three children with her husband for which her loving and motherly influence has blessed. In her later years, she enjoyed being an integral part in the upbringing of her grandchildren Jensen and Jordan. Magdalena is survived by her children Raimund, Ingrid and her husband Ray Fay, Peter and his wife Mona; her grandchildren, Jensen, Jordan, Troy, and Cori Hirashima
