JAMES "JIM" M. FOBEL, 91, passed away at his Kailua home on December 9, 2019. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Survived by his wife and soul mate of 64 years, Reiko. He was a loving father to daughters Elizabeth (Anthony) Borge and Mary (Hugh) McLoone, sons John (Kitty), Albert (Midori) and David (Brandi), proud grandfather of six grand- children Sean, Trevor, Justin, Hayden, Rose, and Jensen. He is also survived by, and held dear to his heart, his brother-in-law in Japan, and special nieces and nephews on the mainland and Japan. A special "thank you" to his mentor, George K. Yamashiro, of Waikiki Realty, whose friendship, knowledge and guidance profoundly impacted his life and that of his family. "Loved his wife, loved his family, even kissed the Kailua poor.
