Mildred Wong, 99, was born in Honolulu and resided in Manoa for most of her life. She graduated from Roosevelt HS and was honored to be the assistant to Dr. Mary Bitterman of Hawaii public television. She has rejoined her husband, Victor Wong, after 33 years apart. Her surviving sister is Pearl Chang, age 96. Mildred has left a tremendous legacy of love and caring with her family and her community in Christ. She is survived by five children, Wayson (Pam), Rita, Gaylen, Wesley (Susan) and Rena Wolfe (Marshall). Her cherished nine grandchildren are Kimberley Yoshimoto, Kelly Miyamura, Kathleen Freitas, Leslie Ann Wills, Lori Sun, Lindsey Wong, Robyn Procopio and Devin and Eric Wolfe. She has also been blessed with eleven great-grand- children. Her remembrance will be on Dec. 28, 2019, at Community Church, 2345 Nuuanu Avenue. Visitation is at 9:30 am., and the service at 10:30.
