Evelyn Giyoko (Fukuda) Yoshioka
96, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Onomea, Hawaii, she was a graduate of Hilo High School, and was employed as a bookkeeper with various organizations in Hilo and Honolulu. In 1953, she opened an employment agency, The Job Center, and was happily self-employed for 20 years. She later worked with her husband in his accounting services practice until they retired in 1978. Predeceased by husband, Harry Seichi Yoshioka and her three older brothers and four older sisters, she is survived by daughter Prudence (Chester) Kanehira; granddaughter Shawn Kanehira-Mar (Daniel Mar) and grandson, Reid (Debbie) Kanehira; great grandchildren: Tyler and Jackie Mar, and Hunter and Max Kanehira. A private Celebration of Life has been held. Please, no koden / monetary gifts or flowers.
