Daniel is survived by wife, Iverne Apao; children Melissa (Christopher) Wong and Brandon (Melissa) Apao; siblings: Nona Nakamura, David G. (Nonah) Apao, Darryl (Cyndi) Apao; grandchildren: Micah Apao, Bransen Apao, Milah Wong, Mckenzie Apao.
