RICHARD HIROSHI TAISE
RICHARD HIROSHI TAISE of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on November 15, 2019 in Kailua at the age of 86. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Born in Naalehu, Hawaii, on June 25, 1933 to Masato and Clara Toshiko (Segawa) Taise, he was the fourth of seven children. After graduating from Pahala High School in 1951, Richard enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged in 1954. A proud employee of Aloha Airlines for 37 years, he retired in 1993. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Loretta Nonaka; daughters, Claire Taise-Chee and Alyson Taise ; son-in-law, Nathan Chee; grandchildren, Benjamin and Samantha; sister, Alice (Iwao) Yonemitsu; brother, James (Dianne) Taise; sister, Nancy (Richard) Kado; brothers-in-law, Jay (Beatrice, deceased) Manago and Ralph (Helen, deceased) Watanabe; Nonaka brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and faithful bichon, Chloe. A Memorial service will be held at Mililani Mortuary's Mauka Chapel on Saturday, January 11, 2020, with visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. and service at 6:00 p.m. Casual attire.
