Melvin Yamaki, a UH graduate, age 87, of Aiea, died on December 13, 2019. Former co-owner/President of Leeward Drive In. Survived by son Melvin JR; daughters Joy and Kim (Mark) Miyaguchi; two grandsons; brother Roy (Francis); and sisters Gertrude (Joe) Nishida and Marion (Ernest) Yuasa.
