FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Bernard Iwao Shiratori
Bernard Iwao Shiratori80, of Honolulu. Bernard was a 1957 Farrington graduate, where he met his lifetime friends, The Esquires. They camped, fished, traveled and played poker and volleyball. He earned his Master's in Chemistry from UH Manoa. He worked at The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and the State Department of Health. Bernard was a Sales Manager for H.K. Horita Realty and later joined Century 21 Homefinders of HI. Bernard's favorite pastimes were going to Vegas and diving for tako. He traveled the world with his wife Karen to Asia, the Amazon, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Africa and the mainland. He was a skilled harmonica player and joined the Hawaii Reed 21 Harmonica Band. Surrounded by his loved ones, Bernard passed on December 21, 2019. He is greatly missed by his wife Karen; daughter Lori (Derek) Ichimura; son Ryan; son Craig (Kathy); granddaughter Carli; brother Melvin (Nora); Step family: Kevin (Mari) Asano; Gary (Sayuri) Asano; Michelle (Jonathan) Liu and 9 step-grand- children. He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Fumiyo Shiratori and sister Jessie (Patrick) Murakami. Private services were held. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
