90, of Wahiawa, passed away on December 16, 2019. Born in Honolulu to parents Daniel Kamaha Bartholomew and Elizabeth Kapeka Foster. A hard working wife and mother, she worked as a cook at St. Joseph School in Waipahu for 30 years. Catherine loved singing Hawaiian songs with her family and husband, Walter F.Y. Chang, strumming away on his ukulele. Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2007. With the excellent care provided by Marites Ramirez she was able to live out the rest of her years in dignity. Catherine is preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Kapeka George and Mary (Mele) De Costa and brother, Francis Palakiko Bartholomew. She is survived by son, Walter F.Y. Chang, Jr., and daughter, Leonilda (Peter) Malterre; grandchildren, Damon Kekoa and Heather Nalani Chang, and Walter G. Malterre II. The Celebration of her Life is on January 29, 2020 Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 1403 California Avenue, #A, Wahiawa. Visitation: 10:00 a.m.; Mass: 11:00 a.m. Burial: 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. Casual Attire.
