91, passed away peacefully at Hale Nohea early Friday morning, November 29, 2019. She was born in Honolulu and graduated from McKinley High School, Colorado State College of Education, and Columbia University. She was an elementary school teacher and retired from Manana Elementary School in 1987. Mildred is predeceased by her husband Katsumi Hosokawa; parents Kiyoichi and Sato Kimura and siblings Matsuichi, Kiyoshi, Florence, and Dorothy. She is survived by her children Janet Hosokawa (Frederick) Sharninghausen, Richard (Diane) Hosokawa, Joanne (Ruben) Baeza, and Amy (Stanley) Mizota; 9 grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Yaeko Hosokawa and Ethel (David) Miyamoto.
