Cirilo Gallarde Quiming
Cirilo "Boy" Gallarde Quiming, 72, died peacefully at home on January 3, 2020. He was born on November 6, 1947, in Anonas, Urdaneta, Pangasinan, in the Philippines. On January 11, 1976, Cirilo married Genoveva Patacsil Quiming. They raised two children, daughter Genecir Joan and son Gary. He came to Hawaii in 1973, and as an immigrant, he understood the value of hard work, proudly starting his own landscaping company. He had a passion for cooking, playing cards and jokes on his family, and singing karaoke. Ever true to his landscaper profession, his signature karaoke song was "The Green Green Grass of Home." He is survived by his wife and children, along with his sisters Hipolita Doria and Magdalena Manglallan, brother Roberto, and many nieces and nephews. He is reunited with his mother Narcisa, father Doroteo, sister Dominga Jacob, and brothers Remegio, Bernabe, and Pedro. The wake will be on Feb. 5, 2020, 5:30 pm, at Valley of the Temples' Lower Chapel. On Feb. 6, 2020, at St. Joseph Church in Waipahu, there will be visitation (10:00 am) and mass (11:00 am), followed by burial at Valley of the Temples (1:00 pm).
