FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Cynthia Fumie Yamane
Cynthia Fumie Yamane, 68, of Honolulu, passed away on Dec. 15, 2019. Her last moments were spent with her family at her home in Nuuanu. She battled Parkinson's disease for 20 years. Cynthia was born on May 17th, 1951. Her parents were the late Joan and James Yamane. She attended Roosevelt High School and graduated from U.H. at Manoa. She worked as a manager at R.C. Drive In. It was a family business. After it closed, she went to work at Liberty House downtown. She had numerous awards for outstanding employee. She retired after her illness got worse. She loved animals and always took care of several cats at a time. She was a good cook, baker, and loved to do crafts. She is survived by her brother, Fred Yamane (Suzanne), and sister, Lynette Pakele (Len). Also, niece Traci Beitzel (Dean), nephews Garreth Yamane, Lee Pakele, and Larin Pakele (Tomomi). She is also survived by aunts Helen Ginoza (Edward) and Sally Tokunaga. Also numerous cousins. She was especially close to cousin Susan Ichimasa who helped with her care. We miss her very much and know she is in a better place. As per her request, private services were held. No Koden please. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
