85, passed away at Kuakini Hospital on January 22, 2020. She was born in Honolulu on October 8, 1934 and raised in Kaimuki. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952 and worked at Kalakaua Supermarket, Bishop Bank, Kaimuki, Lola of Hawaii, Weyerhauser Mortgage, First Insurance Co., and Macy's, Ala Moana. Annette was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Moses, her daughter, Janice and nephew, Darin Tajiri. She is survived by her children, Monette Aweau and Bruce (Renee) Aweau; sister, Gerda Tom (Clarence Sakamoto); nephew, Todd Tajiri; niece, Melanie (John) Arcedo; grand nephew & nieces, Jonah Arcedo, Jenna Arcedo, & Jetaime Tajiri. Also her very special people, Dwight Morikawa & Olympia Kahalewai and her faithful four legged companion, Butchie. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Borthwick Mortuary, Makai Chapel. Visitation: 10:00 a.m.; Service: 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow. Burial: 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Casual or Aloha attire.
