NORMAN WAIOLA. MERSBERG, SR.
NORMAN WAIOLA. MERSBERG, SR.Of Nanakuli, peacefully passed surrounded by his loving ohana Tuesday, December 3, 2019. He was born in Honolulu, November 15, 1949 to Elfrieda Kealaonaona and Charles Kanekawaiola Mersberg. Later raised by his mom and loving step dad, Veto Baker. Norman retired from Garlow Petroleum as a FuelTransporter. He also worked at US Pipe and Boyd's Trucking. He had such a giving heart that he would always teach and share his knowledge with people. His passion for singing and playing his ukulele was a delight to all. Cooking up his ono kine grindz was the best! His smile and laughter were one of a kind and sorely missed. Norman had an unsurpassing love for his ohana. But of all his life's accomplishments, his faith and love for his God Jehovah was unwavering. Norman is survived by his wife of 34 yrs., Patricia Kaheamalani Mersberg and nine children: Norman "Ola" Jr., Kahaunani (Jay) Glover, Nelekulia M., Uilani (Shane) Batalona, Johnboy (Rachael) Amina, Kualilehiwa M., Kaulana M., Li'ulamekahilina'i (Damien) Mersberg-Kuamo'o and Ku'umauehahewelinapauoleme'oe M.; 15 mo'opuna and 1GG on the way; brothers: Veto Jr., Karl, Arthur "Kawai" (dec.), and Lot Baker; sisters: Helen "Pinky" Cobb-Adams (dec.), Elfrieda "Girly" Mersberg (dec.), Vetoann "Budgie" and Irene Baker; numerous nephews and nieces. Services will be held on March 1, 2020 at Nanakuli Kalanianaole Beach Park. Visitation: 10:30 a.m.; Services: 12:00 p.m. Scattering of ashes to follow. Aloha attire
