NORMAN LACERDO
Affectionately known as "Sonny," Norman passed away at home on Feb. 12, 2020 at 92 years old. Born June 21, 1927 in Hilo, he married Ellen in 1948. A hard-working family man, he raised 6 children and loved taking them to the beach, and caring for his yard and pets. He had a beautiful tenor singing voice and would sing Hawaiian songs while accompanied by Ellen on the piano or ukulele. He worked many years as a Diesel Bus Mechanic and driver, and always found time to help out friends. He is survived by daughters Kathleen (Bina) Lacerdo, Patricia (Mike) Ikeda, Lani (Wes) Murphy, and Priscilla Lacerdo; sons Jeffrey (Ella) and Paul (Lee) Lacerdo; sisters Nora Tavares and Naomi Alcosiba of Hilo; 8 grandchildren; and also 10 great- and 2 great- great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by Ellen and sisters Norma Tan, Nona Boudreau, and Mary Lou Haimoto. LOVE YOU DAD
