Julia “Amoe” Lake Pagaduan
Julia "Amoe" Lake Pagaduan of Aliamanu passed away peacefully on February 8, 2020 at Palolo Chinese Senior Home. She was born on August 3, 1931, the first child of George E. Lake and Julia Chun Lake, and grew up in Kaka'ako before moving to Papakolea. Julia was married to Ignacio "Andy" Pagaduan for 65 years and worked at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama at Hale Ola; wanting to spend time with her grand- children, she retired in 1995 after 27 years. Surviving family includes sons Craig (Susan), Curtis, daughter Celeste (Steven) Dzigas, brothers George E. (Tuddy) Lake, Jr. of Honolulu and Wayne C. (Marcia) Lake of San Francisco, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. "Tutu" will be missed for her loving, caring nature, comforting hugs and warm generosity. Viewing will be held at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary on Saturday, March 14, 2020 beginning at 9:30am with services and lunch to follow; burial at 2pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
