85, passed away on December 1, 2019. She was a retired school teacher. Miyeko is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Susumu Yamane. She is survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother in Japan; three children, Naomi (Dan) Giovanni, Deborah (Ross) Watabayashi, and Jon (Joy) Yamane; and her grandchildren, Jordan, Janna, and Gavin. Born on May 27, 1934 in Shizuoka, Japan, Miyeko came to the U.S. at the age of 16 to receive an American education. She met and married her life partner, Susumu, and together, they devoted their life to God through the UCC Church. She will be remembered for her compassion, generosity, and for being progressive. Private services were held.
