93, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2020. Sada, as he was known to his friends, was born in Papaikou Hawaii, the 6th of seven children. He graduated from Hilo High School, Class of 1944, entered the service in 1945 and discharged in 1947. He started work as a carpenter, then moved to Matson where he became a stevedore and supervisor until his retirement. Sadao is survived by his wife Tamiko and three sons Arnold (Janey), Brice and Craig (Yuri) all of Honolulu. He is also survived by his brother Mitsuru Yamashita of Papaikou Hawaii and many nieces and nephews. Private services were held with interment at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
