AMAPOLA MAZIE GRACE YADAO BARTE
Amapola Mazie Grace Yadao Barte, known as Pola, peacefully passed away in the early morning of January 23, 2020 at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born on April 19, 1937 in Paia, Maui to Reverend Emilio and Anita Yadao. She is survived by daughter, Sharon (Donald) Bray, sons, Steven (Michelle), Stafford (Dishongh), Stuart (Annabelle), grandsons; Zachary, Lucas, Shaun, Matthew, Don Jared; and granddaughter; Hayley. She was a devoted and dedicated member of Wahiawa Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Pola graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended University of Hawaii. She was a librarian at Wheeler Air Base Library then worked at Hickam AFB for the NAF Department until her retirement in 1989. Even after 82 years of living life to its fullest, Amapola's death came suddenly and too soon, but her "Amazing Grace" will comfort and sustain us all. March 19th.
