DAISY H. CHAR CHING
94, December 18, 1925, Seattle, Washington, to January 21, 2020, Renton, Washington. Daisy graduated from Seattle University's nursing school and worked until marriage to Lincoln S. Char. She lived in Honolulu and in Kaneohe while raising 4 children. After divorce, she worked as a travel agent. Many years after meeting in Seattle, Daisy re-connected with, married, and spent many wonderful, happy years with Lloyd L. Ching in Honolulu until his 2014 death. Daisy was a talented artist, whose work was recognized in recent years through awards, selection of her drawings for use by Merrill Gardens, and adoption in the City of Renton of her artwork for public projects. Daisy was adored by her grandchildren who remember her garden and learning to make won tons. Daisy is survived by children, Patricia Char (Thomas Bingham), Susan Louie, and James Char (Janice Abe), by grandchildren, Jonathan Louie, Jessica Louie Certel (Kaan), Matthew Bingham (Lauren), J. Nathan Bingham (Maria), and Tiffani Louie Beyer (Grant), and by 5 great-grandchildren. Son, Robert Char, predeceased her. There will be a private, family only memorial, no flowers.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
